What Summer Sounds Like
It's a good summer to like boys with guitars, as 2006 has already seen new releases by some of my favorites (Josh Kelly, Guster) as well as some guys I'd never heard of but now love (Mat Kearny, Mason Jennings). And lest we forget that Madonna has a new live album (minus many of the Reinvention Tour's best tracks, i.e. "Deeper & Deeper"),Regina Spektor and Snow Patrol are back, Superman Returns has an emo soundtrack, and Feist has gone all remix-ey. These are the albums populating my new iPod nano as I walk around the streets of Manhattan. Of course, there's singles on there, too -- with amazing new stuff from Xtina, G.Love, and Panic! at the Disco.
This is what summer sounds like to me.

Was wondering when you'd mention there's a new Guster cd out.
The Captain rocks, or does it country?!?

Don't you remember being in my room and I was playing Matt Kearney and you said, "who the hell is this?!" Well I sure do ;)

Yum, Mat Kearney! I love Bullet (the LP--not just the single), but haven't bought his new one because half the songs on it are remixes from Bullet. Sounds like it's worth it though...
