Who is Michael Vaughn?
Now that was a finale.
After disappointing season-enders from Desperate Housewives (if you're going to walk into the house, at least tell Zack you're his real dad and let us hear a gunshot!) and Lost (if you're going to open a fucking hatch, at least have a skeleton or a monkey -- or a skeleton-monkey -- climb out!) -- it was Alias, bouncing back from a stale fourth season, that took my breath away.
Good stuff throughout (and overall better effects than tonight's Lost) -- but that ending...! Man -- that's good television. I was gripping Duncan's leg and shouting at the tv as Michael Vartan talked, and I gasped loudly at that moment, truly surprised and scared, nearly jumping off the couch and having a heart attack (just like the one that didn't really kill Rex Van De Camp)!
Long live Irina. Amen.
My roommate and his boyfriend came in on the last 10 minutes of the show. Sadly, for them, they do not watch the show. Anyway, everything was all "la dee dah, we're goin to the chapel to get married and live happily ever after." I felt obligated to tell the newcomers "something really bad is about to happen. REALLY bad."I was not disappointed. They totally freaked out at the ending. It was one of those great television moments that you just can't improve on.

Grr! Arrgh!I missed both Desperate Housewives and Alias finales! No Tivo either! Dammit!!! I knew I should have started watching Alias again!I knew getting a social life would come back to haunt me, but had no idea it would steal me from my old lover, Tel E. Vision! Harumph!

I was not impressed with the season finale of Lost. I realize they can't reveal everything but still. I saw someone write that they thought they were all in pergatory and they take the babies because they are innocent and don't deserve to be there. Sounds plausible.As for Alias I have totally stopped watching it because this season has sucked. But I still do have the entire season on my Tivo, maybe now that we are in reruns I will go back and watch them. I should at least see the finale if it's as good as you say it is.

Hey,Thanks to your previous entry, I watched Lost for the first time & really liked the finale - you hooked in another viewer :)Alias, used to watch it but left it during season 3. I guess if it's become good again I'll join in Season 5.
