Since I Been Gone

The world is suddenly thawed. It's green and sunny and, by god, I am smiling.

A week ago, things were colder and darker. But now it's spring. How can you have worries when it's 75 and glorious in Vermont?

Yes, boys and girls, tell all your friends. I'm back. And, as promised, I'm better.

Since my last post...

... I bought a new phone, a snazzy Motorola V710. Unfortunately, Verizon sucks, so half the features don't work. But now I can send and get pictures—so if any pervs out there want to play show and tell... by all means, let's.

... I went to the R.U.1.2 Queer Community Dinner on Saturday. I love Vermont and it was fun. Of course, I was wearing a ski mask and trenchcoat so that cresmer wouldn't recognize me...

... I am leaving my tiny, haunted one-bedroom apartment of two years this August—and I have decided to take on a roommate for next year. It's perhaps the last person many would have guessed (or recommended). Apartment hunting is a bitch. Anybody in Burlington know of any two-bedrooms near downtown?

... Many people commented and/or emailed during my break, which gave me warm-fuzzies. I feel special. Extra thanks to "DartmouthPrep" and Nick, just because I like ya.

... Things are back to "normal" with Duncan. Well, perhaps better. We are still "together" and I am trying to be less "ambivalent" towards the "relationship" (perhaps I should remove the quotes?). I almost lost him last week, and I'll have to remember how sad the thought of that made me in the near future, when he's driving me nuts again.

... Britney got pregnant!

... My sister prematurely turned 13 (her real birthday is next week) because she was in town this weekend (along with my mom, grandmother, and brother) and I wanted to throw her a party. So we had a large cookout at my aunt's. It felt important, a needed gesture at this time, for everybody. Mom is doing alright. She's lost some weight (which is needed, but has me a little worried), but she seems healthy. She's sad, but holding up. I'm glad I got to see her.

... Work has calmed down. Or, at least, I calmed down about work. Either way, the busy season is almost over, and I'm looking forward to a relaxing, productive summer. Yay summer!

... My grandmother revealed to me that she also has a crush on Grey's Anatomy's George. Odd taste in men runs in my family.

It's good to be back. I missed y'all.
