I Got It Bad, And That Ain't Good

I took a long and accidental nap after work tonight, and I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have. I woke more exhausted-er than when I crashed, rather disoriented, slightly moody, and, oddly, with many of the bones in my body aching. I took some Advil, and that's helped somewhat, but still—what the fuck? Why do my bones hurt? Why am I so beat? I fear I'm getting sick.

In other self-indulgent news, I met my future husband today. And by future husband, I do not mean Duncan Sheik, Gavin DeGraw, or any other singer/songwriters, straight porn stars, or handsome male models. No, I mean an actual, honest-to-goodness, real-life gay man—college-educated, my age, cute, good-named, big-nosed, brown-haired, big-eyed, large-handed, and—gasp—in Vermont. Of course, he was just visiting good ole VT—but he could be here in the near future. And though there'd be virtually no chance at anything with cute-guy-with-a-great-name, even if he does come to Burlington, I can't stop thinking about him. And that makes another bone ache.

No, it doesn't really. It's not like that. But I couldn't resist the *ahem* joke.

It was sunny today, and my office was a sauna before I left for the day. It was nice. Gives me hope that spring might actually come this year. And soon.

Gavin was on Ellen this morning...I hate that he keeps releasing more singles to be over-played on the pop stations...I hate that I even listen to the pop stations.

Duncan Sheik!! I love Duncan Sheik! I almost got in a fist fight with my friend Mike because he decided he should talk during Duncan's song in the movie "What a Girl Wants." Asshole...nearly ruined the movie. Good thing I can watch it twice a month on DVD now.Yes, I am a huge dork.

Careful now! I've really enjoyed reading twenty-something lately, but hands-off my marriage to Duncan Sheik; August 15 is our ninth anniversary, you know, and I'll not have a cute Vermont hussy step in and steal him away. Not after all these years together. ;)
