Canada
So the Presidential Race is over. Kerry condeeded. Bush won reelection.
And I think I just heard the fifth or sixth person, in my daily life, to make some crack about moving to Canada today.
I can't decide which make me madder: Bush's victory, or that all the people in my life recite tired comedy bits that replace any real political knowledge or opinion.
Now, I am not happy with the outcome of this election, but other than that, I am not at all informed or opinionated when it comes to politics today. I barely followed the election, and I barely voted. But I did stay up until 4AM last night (this morning?) watching the coverage. I'm in awe that Bush won, and fair-and-square this time, as far as I can tell. I'm frightened by the amount of Red I saw in our country, but I am encouraged by the Blue where I live. I'm disappointed, yeah, but... he won. End of story this time.
This Canada crap, though... it's a cop-out, a recycled bit, and it's just not funny. I think that could be more offensive than Four More Years of the village idiot in office. You're not really moving, and you're not funny. So stop.
I'm tired. Bush won and I'm not laughing.
